At Gorilla Playsets™ we use only the finest hand selected lumber available. Our lumber comes from Certified forests which have been approved to be harvested and replanted so that these resources remain sustainable.

What We're Made Of...

All of our play systems are made with Cedar. Similar to redwood, Cedar is naturally resistant to rot, decay, and insect damage - all while offering an affordable, naturally resistant option in backyard fun.

All Cedar Play Systems receive a factory applied stain/sealant to protect the lumber. We also recommend that you reseal/stain your swing set within 90 days of your purchase, to ensure the quality and water-resistance of the lumber is kept intact.

Timber Shield™

Some of our play systems feature our maintenance-free Timber Shield™ protective poly coating. These attractive, splinter-free fir timbers are coated with a thick, green, polyethylene casing that shields the wood from the weather, making them virtually maintenance-free.
